2003-04: Earned two All-America and five honorable mention All- America honors in three individual and four relay events … Posted individual All-America performances in the 50- and 100-meter freestyle and the 100-meter backstroke … Broke school records in the 50 free,100 free and 100 backstroke … Member of school-record breaking and All-American 200 and 400 freestyle and 200 and 400 medley relays … Named Co-Big Ten Swimmer of the Year, Big Ten Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Big Ten … Won four gold medals in the Big Ten Championships (50 free, 100 free, 100 backstroke and as part of the 400 medley relay team) … Broke the Big Ten, Big Ten Championship, pool and Northwestern records in the 100 back with a time of 46.68 … Set a Big Ten Championship record in the 50 free (19.44) … Swam a Big Ten-record 46.74 split in the 100 backstroke leg of the 400 medley relay at the Championships … Collegeswimming.com’s Swimmer of the Week (2/6) … Two-time Big Ten Swimmer of the Week (11/25, 2/2) … Three-time Northwestern Hilton Garden Inn Athlete of the Week (11/24, 1/19, 3/1) … Also swam in three events at the U.S. Olympic Trials in July … Made the final of the 100-meter backstroke, finishing seventh with a personal-best 55.13 … Also made the semis in the 100-meter and 50-meter free … Set personal bests in both (50.18 in the 100 free, 22.82 in the 50 free).
